Teva Settles Diabetes Drug Agreement with Takeda

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has entered into an agreement with Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited in order to settle a patent litigation linked to Teva’s generic versions of Takeda’s ACTOS and ACTOplus.

Under the agreement, Takeda have granted Teva a licence to market an authorised generic version of ACTOS in the U.S in 2012. In addition Teva was granted a licence to market an authorised generic version of ACTOplus.

The combined sales of these products reached approximately $4 billion in the United States.
