CRA Vacancies Market – 13th May 2016

Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 13th May 2016 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 680 CRA jobs were published in the last week:

  • 572 permanent roles
  • 108 contract roles

Over the last three months we have noticed a distinct pattern with CRA recruitment, with an almost a weekly fluctuation in the total number of clinical jobs advertised. This is almost directly linked to permanent roles which seem to have less stability than in previous years, with numbers over the same period ranging between 328 jobs to over 600. We will continue to monitor this as it conflicts with what our clinical recruitment team are seeing, which is a consistent demand for permanent candidates.

CRA Vacancies Market – 18th April 2016

Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 18th of April 2016 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist

  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 683 CRA jobs were published in the last week:

  • 578 permanent roles
  • 105 contract roles

Over the last 3 weeks we have tracked a gradually declining volume of CRA jobs which we presumed was a direct result of the Easter holidays and the changing tax year. However, we are pleased to see that this trend has not continued and this week clinical research jobs have grown by 68% instead. This increase reflects other improvements we have seen across the CK recruitment divisions, implying a good year for job seekers.

CRA Vacancies Market – 11th April 2016

Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 11th of April 2016 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 405 CRA jobs were published in the last week:

  • 328 permanent roles
  • 77 contract roles

Unfortunately clinical jobs have continued to drop over the last week with a further 27% decline. Both permanent and contract jobs have been equally affected by this which implies to us that it is a knock on effect of the tax year concluding. Next week’s report should hopefully see the start recovery as new budgets will have been released and recruitment strategies confirmed.

CRA Vacancies Market – 28th March 2016

Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 28th of March 2016 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 564 CRA jobs were published in the last week:

  • 460 permanent roles
  • 104 contract roles

Following 10 weeks of incredibly strong CRA job numbers, this week which is one of the final weeks of this tax year, has seen the job volumes slump. Dropping by 186 (there are, however, going to be some duplications across the job boards we track), it’s the first sure sign we have had this year that CRA recruitment will be affected by other influences. Both permanent and contract roles were affected, with permanent jobs tracked at their lowest number since the first week in January. We anticipate this being a short term issue with numbers returning to their normal levels in the next few weeks.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 21th of March 2016 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

CRA jobs have grown over the last week, with permanent roles growing by 12% and contract by 25%. With just 10 working days until the start of the new tax year, we foresee the growth in jobs attributable to companies trying to get a head start on their recruitment for 2016/17. We hope to see the CRA jobs market continue to grow from hereon in.

CRA Vacancies Market – 14th March 2016

Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 14th of March 2016 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 664 CRA jobs were published in the last week:

  • 556 permanent roles
  • 108 contract roles

We predicted a few weeks ago that there would be an on going decline in the volume of advertised clinical research roles due to the approaching end of the tax year. Contrary to our expectations, last week the volume of jobs increased, especially for permanent roles. However, this week there has been a huge decline in job numbers, mostly within permanent roles, bringing the total number of CRA jobs to a low not seen since early 2016. We believe this is a short term issue and that we will see a recruitment drive once new budgets are in place.
