This week’s summary for week commencing the 11th November 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 634 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 639 the week before with:

  • 546 permanent roles 
  • 88 contract roles 

What we have learnt throughout this process is that the CRA jobs market averages around 703 jobs a week. Whilst this weeks figure is still below the average, it has stabilised with only a small drop from last week

CRA Vacancy Market – 3rd November 2014

This week’s summary for week commencing the 3rd November 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 639 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 707 the week before. This is a very sudden 14% increase in vacancies in the past 7 days with:

  • 554 permanent roles 
  • 85 contract roles 

What we have learnt throughout this process is that the CRA jobs market averages around 705 jobs a week highlight that this week we are slightly below this by 9%.  However we are still several weeks away from the Christmas close down so now is still a good time to apply for a new CRA role!

This week’s summary for week commencing the 29th September 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 611 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 533 the week before. This is a very sudden 14% increase in vacancies in the past 7 days with:

  • 548 permanent roles 
  • 63 contract roles 

This increase has returned the weekly figures back up to the average, following last weeks dip. With permanent roles growing by 18%, but contract positions continuing to decline – a trend that has been developing over the last 5 weeks.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 8th September 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 533 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 626 the week before. This is a very sudden 14% drop in vacancies in the past 7 days with:

  • 462 permanent roles 
  • 71 contract roles 

With the decrease affecting both permanent and temporary roles in the clinical jobs market, we hope this is just a temporary glitch but we will continue to monitor and update you next week.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 8th September 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 626 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 623 the week before. This is a 0.5% increase in the past 7 days, which is a positive sign that the market is gradually recovering from the summer slow down.

  • 546 permanent roles 
  • 80 contract roles 

Permanent jobs have seen the greatest increase with a growth of 2% but this is a positive sign that the clinical jobs market is returning to pre-summer volumes. We will continue to monitor and update you next week.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 1st September 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

Our results showed that from these job boards a total of 623 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 665 the week before. This is a 6.32% decrease in the past 7 days, which is to be expected with just a four day week:

  • 533 permanent roles 
  • 90 contract roles 

Permanent jobs have only seen a small dip in numbers this week, as overall they have performed quite strongly throughout the summer months. The temporary market seems to have returned to where it has consistently been for the past 2 -3 months.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 25th of August 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers

  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that from these job boards a total of 665 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 580 the week before. This is a 14% growth in the past 7 days, which is a much more buoyant environment for job hunters, with the split between temp and perm being:

  • 557 permanent roles (up from 490 – 13% increase)
  • 108 contract roles (up from 90 – which is a 16%increase)

With both permanent and temporary jobs are on the increase, this could be a sign that the summer dip is over and the CRA jobs market is bouncing back.

This weeks summary for week commencing the 18th of August 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers

  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that from these job boards a total of 580 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 655 the week before. This indicates that the job postings are largely staying at the same level at the moment, which is to be expected following the previous drop off. Postings should increase again at the beginning of September. The breakdown is as follows:

  • 490 permanent roles
  • 90 contract  roles

The summer break is continuing to impact demand for permanent jobs, with a loss of 80 jobs in the past week.  Contract jobs have remained consistent, which again reflecting the time of year. We should start to see an change as we enter September.

CRA Vacancy Market – 12th of August 2014

The Clinical Research Associate jobs market has seen a slight increase in contract opportunities this week.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days.  As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This weeks summary for week commencing the 5th of August 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that from these job boards a total of 660 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 655 the week before. This indicates that the job postings are largely staying at the same level at the moment, which is to be expected following the previous drop off. Postings should increase again at the beginning of September. The breakdown is as follows:

  • 570 permanent roles
  • 90 contract  roles

This indicates an increase in permanent roles and a decrease in contract roles. The increase in permanent postings balanced out the drop in contract and contributed to the overall slight rise.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days.  As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This weeks summary for week commencing the 5th of August 2014 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that from these job boards a total of 655 CRA jobs were published last week (compared to 748 last week) which is slightly lower than the last 2 weeks and lower on the year overall:

  • 544 permanent roles
  • 111 contract  roles

Contract roles have risen significantly this week after being quite low over the last few weeks and permanent roles have dropped considerably in comparison to past weeks which accounts for the total drop in jobs overall.
