Scientific Glass Blower

Graeme Pallas at CK Group are recruiting for a Scientific Glass Blower to join a laboratory consumables and reagents manufacturing business based at their facilities located in Essex, UK on a permanent basis.

This Scientific Glass Blower position will be located at the company's production facilities located in Essex, UK. .

Scientific Glass Blower role:

As the Scientific Glass Blower you will be assist in the manufacture of a wide variety of optical sampling components and scientific glassware.

Your main duties will be:

• The role will involve a variety of glass forming work, using glass lathes and element of freehand glass blowing.
• Hand finish products to tight quality control standards.

• Train and support more junior team members.

• Please note: This is not an artistic glass blowing position.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• 5+ years experience in a glass blowing production environment.
• Demonstrable experience working with quartz and pyrex materials.
• Experience in both bench work and lathe work.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions.
