CK Group are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join a Drug & Alcohol testing company at their site based in Norfolk on a permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is an independent UK laboratory offering a range of scientific services, specialising in Drug & Alcohol Testing for workplace and healthcare.

Location:

This Quality Manager role is located a commutable distance from Norwich and surrounding areas.

Quality Manager Role:

You will develop, and ensure compliance with, the internal Quality Management System, external international standards, and any other relevant guidelines across all departments of the business.

Your main duties will be:

  • To adhere to all policy, procedure, regulatory, customer and standard requirements relating to the quality management system.
  • To comply with the requirements of ISO 17025 and any other applicable standards for all aspects of analytical testing and quality control.
  • To be responsible for all aspects of the Quality Manual by ensuring processes and procedures are established, implemented and maintained for all business activities.
  • To participate in internal and external audits.
  • To always comply with all Health & Safety and CoSHH policies and procedures.
  • To acquire and maintain full UKAS compliance and other accreditation/certification bodies.
  • To be responsible for liaison with UKAS on accreditation matters.
  • To oversee the document control, review and release process, and provide monthly reminders to departmental leads when documents are due for review.
  • To raise complaints, non-conformances, planned deviations, improvements, risks and opportunities, as required.
  • To monitor the status, and provide sign off and closure, of complaints, non-conformances, planned deviations, improvements, and risks and opportunities.
  • To report to the senior management on the performance of the Quality Management System and any needs for improvement.
Your Background:

  • Extensive laboratory experience, with a significant experience in a senior position.
  • Experience of running an accredited Quality Management System, ideally to ISO 17025 standards.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UKAS, and other governing bodies, requirements and management of business quality systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of drugs of abuse testing and ISO 17025 UKAS quality management system (or equivalent) experience.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
