Ian Marlow at CK Clinical is recruiting for a Statistician on behalf of our client, a Pharmaceutical company based in Uxbridge.
Perform appropriate design and analysis and interpret results, initially under supervision. Apply a wide range of statistical skills and adapt them to suit many situations. Check other people's programs, using formal QC procedures (if applicable). Advise scientists/statisticians on the use of interactive statistical software. Coordinate programming for a study. Be involved in evaluating new statistical software. Keep abreast of current literature and may research new techniques.
Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team, representing own group, initially with supervision. Communicate on statistical issues related to assigned tasks, with some supervision. Present at Statistics Forum meetings. Adapt plans according to business needs. Plan the work of others. Help recruit and supervise contractors or co-ops/students. Act as a contact for external organizations at study level. Act as a coach in area of expertise. Influence the statistical approach at study level, may require supervision. Provide input into internal regulatory interactions. Develop a knowledge of regulatory requirements. Be responsible for generating analyses for regulatory documents and requests. Prepare and define content of study documents initially with supervision. Ensure consistency of document content across studies within a project. Interpret and apply departmental procedures with guidance. Anticipate issues, propose solutions and gain resolution in well-defined areas. Learn and apply statistical methods and adapt them to the work at hand, initially under supervision. Research statistical literature. Understand practical issues and offer statistical approaches that may be of benefit.
Communicate statistical concepts. Influence customers effectively. Write clearly and succinctly on statistical issues, and provide summaries of results with interpretation. Influence the statistical approach used at study level. Bachelor’s Degree with proven applicable experience. Alternatively, a Masters Degree or progress toward Ph.D. Degree with no applicable experience or Ph.D. Degree in UK (with no applicable experience).
