Ian Marlow at CK Clinical is recruiting for a Senior Statistician on behalf of our client, a Pharmaceutical company based in Berkshire on a contract basis.
To act as a Trial Statistician for multiple (more than three) clinical trials or act as a Project Statistician for early projects, backup projects, or projects with established experience or act as a Project Statistician-Medical Affairs for projects with established experience.
Act as a co-Project Statistician on complex, major drug projects; e.g. by planning and supervising specific areas of a drug submission, (e.g. for the integrated summary of safety) or for an across-study analysis project (e.g. for publication) or by taking over other Project Statistician-tasks under supervision.
Promote efficient, innovative and robust drug development processes, with emphasis on the analysis and reporting of clinical data; e.g. by participating in international working groups or by acting as a team leader for complex analysis projects.
Bachelor's Degree with a major focus on Mathematics. Additionally, a Masters Degree or Ph.D. Degree within a related field.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to interact with authorities and external bodies (specialists and non-specialists) on statistical-methodological issues complex.
- Thorough knowledge of statistical methodology, processing clinical trial information and the drug development process.
- Ability to communicate statistical information to non-statisticians.
- Ability to write publications (as joint author) in clinical trials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage a project from a statistical perspective.
Additional Skills and Knowledge:
Sound knowledge of statistical methodology; ability to critique devised hypotheses and results interpretation. Demonstrated ability to work successfully on project teams. Proven initial experience as statistician in international pharmaceutical development or at an academic institution in the area of clinical research.
A proven track experience in international exposure is also required. As well as experience in the therapeutic areas of cardiovasular and metabolism would be an advantage.
