Hendre Moolman at CK Clinical is recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison to join a global pharmaceutical company based in London on a fixed term contract basis field based role.

Your main responsibilities in this role will be to:

  • Provide high quality scientific and clinical information across the business in key therapy areas, including Endocrinology, Ophthalmology and Urology
  • Support business growth by evaluating product and therapy opportunities
  • Apply scientific rigour and clinical rationale to product appraisals
  • Help to translate product opportunities into product strategy
  • Support product launch activities for key brands
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key external stakeholders e.g. Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)
  • Support clinical trial activities, including study design and monitoring
  • Remain up to date with current regulations and requirements for Promotional Compliance , Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance
  • Ensure adherence to documented company procedures
  • Establish and maintain ethical relationships with current and future thought leaders by legitimate exchange of scientific and clinical information
  • Gather clinical insights by participating in advisory boards, symposium and round table discussions
  • Support commercial growth in new product evaluations and ethical commercialisation
  • Write, edit and proof-read scientific material, including posters, presentations, publications, educational and medical communication material
  • Provide product and therapy area training
  • Support Global Promotional Affairs and Medical Information with medical enquiries and compilation and review of Frequently Asked Questions
  • Work closely within Medical Affairs to ensure high standards at all times
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Commercial
  • Contribute towards business value adding activities and seek opportunities for improvement at all times
  • Participate in benchmarking activities that will serve to help guide the medical team towards a high level of performance
  • Undertake occasional domestic and international travel as agreed to support the Company's business needs and activities, when necessary
  • Support the delivery of a global promotional system across the company, ensuring continuous high compliance, self-improvement and excellence as per industry standards
  • Compliance with national and international codes of practice, GCP and GPV requirements
  • Timely delivery of scientific and clinical reports to support business requests
  • Successful relationships established with all internal and external stakeholders

You are required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Life Science degree or higher level of education
  • Field based experience associated to the therapy areas for this role (Endocrinology, Ophthalmology and Urology)
  • Strong presentation skills and communications skills
