Russell Oakley at CK Clinical is currently looking for an Interim Manager, Clinical Supply Operations for a global pharmaceutical company based in the Buckinghamshire region.

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring clinical supplies for assigned projects are manufactured, packaged labelled and distributed on time to support Phase 1-4 trials and required stability studies, with minimal supervision. This includes but is not limited to assuring availability of drug product, interpreting clinical protocols, coordinating timely product release with Regulatory and Quality functions, and managing relationships with third-party service providers. Assist in the development of department policies.

Qualifications: Education - BS/BA required. Degree in pharmacy or related field preferred. Experience - Minimum 5 years of related experience, including Project Management, Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical Supply Management, and/or Clinical Trials Coordination.

Essential for the role: Demonstrated experience in working on a range of trials including inventory management, forecasting drug supply needs globally, IXRS experience, managing vendors and contributing to budget control.

Competencies: Basic understanding of Pharmaceutical Development, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory. Strong knowledge of clinical supply planning, manufacturing, packaging, and labelling. Experience in managing third-party contract clinical supply operations desirable. Strong knowledge of cGMPs and GCPs for drug products. Familiarity with various clinical trial designs (randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, placebo-controlled, cross-over, etc.). Experience with IXRS systems and managing the forecasting and planning of drug supply needs. Excellent communication, negotiating, and computer skills. Strong team orientation. Vendor Management, production scheduling, IXRS interaction to assist in drug supply forecasting and site supply management, involvement in Cardiovascular mega trials, import/export knowledge, global inventory management.
