Global Study Manager (Oncology) - Welwyn Garden City
Steve Lord is recruiting for a Global Study Manager (Oncology) to join a world leading pharmaceutical company at their site based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire on a 12 month contract basis.
The main purpose of the role will be to provide the operational expertise to enable the company to deliver late phase Oncology clinical trials (Ib, II and III). You will provide direction and leadership to one or more clinical operations teams and be a key member of the study management team.
Further responsibilities will include: Developing operational plans including site selection, site monitoring strategies, as well as developing and managing clinical study budgets. Overseeing the forecasting and management of clinical and non-clinical supplies. Creating and proactively managing study level recruitment, including management of CROs and vendors. Ensuring study adherence to ICH/GCP and SOPs.
Your previous leadership experience will enable you to build effective and efficient high performing operations teams, building a team culture and promoting team spirit.
Your ability to identify areas of best practice and to introduce process improvements will be highly advantageous in this role. Ensure study adherence to ICH/GCP and SOPs.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Life sciences degree or substantial clinical research experience. Good knowledge of ICH GCP is essential. Significant global study management experience, including budget management and experience in both in-sourced and out-sourced studies. Must have 2 years previous experience of managing oncology clinical studies .
