A very rare and exciting opportunity has become available to join one of the leading global FTSE100 Companies in the UK, they have made their name in the quality and safety testing arena. The role will be based in Milton Keynes.

Job role: As General Manager you will report to the Chief Executive and be required to develop and strategize the profitability in line with organisational objectives, you will be required to develop and execute a gainful business plan whilst creating a synergy between two large business areas. The focus of the position will be to grow profitability and revenue for these business areas.

Strong leadership, direction and guidance will be required as a large established UK sales team will be reporting into this role. The sales team operate across a broad spectrum of medical device, electrical and wireless products.

The role incorporates several areas of the business the Business Assurance, Medical Device Testing and Electrical & Wireless disciplines, which requires a depth of technical knowledge and although the areas are linked, you will be expected to create a synergy between the teams. The role requires someone who is commercially focused, who holds the customer as key to success of the business and who will act as the face of the company.

Reporting into the Chief Executive for UK & Ireland you will need to have strong commercial skills, be very detail focused, excellent time management skills, have extensive team management experience and be people orientated with a good technical understanding. The demands of the role will be high but this brings with it its rewards and future opportunities within a successful business. It is a fast paced and ever changing environment, you will be coming in at an exciting time, as you will be creating your own effective business plan to push the company forward into a successful future.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish and periodically update a strategy for profitability growing business lines.
  • Deliver against annual targets both on top line revenue and bottom line profitability.
  • Excellent relationships in customer service from all parts of organisation.
  • Create a structured process that allows clear allocation of responsibilities.
  • Operate as part of a larger company and look for opportunities beyond the immediate area of responsibility.
