Ian Marlow at CK Clinical is recruiting for a contract Statistician for an office based position within a healthcare company located in Leeds.
Profile: To prepare and analyse patient-level longitudinal data according to a statistical analysis plan (SAP), to report results in tabular, graphical or descriptive form and to contribute to designing epidemiological studies using retrospective databases.
Contribute to all stages of retrospective database studies, under the supervision of a Senior Statistician, including:
o Design o Collaborating with study epidemiologist on choosing appropriate study design required to meet study objectives o Identifying appropriate analysis strategy to meet the study objectives o Contributing to writing of statistical analysis sections of study proposals o Writing SAPs, sample size calculations, specify table shells and figures as required
- Data preparation and analysis o Extracting data from databases using SQL and write SQL/SAS code to o Prepare analysis datasets o Analyse data according to study protocol or SAPs o Reporting o Write up and present results of statistical analysis appropriate for the intended audience o Publication and dissemination o Assist in the dissemination of findings through articles, posters and presentations.
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialised Knowledge Required:
Master's degree in medical statistics or biostatistics. Technical knowledge/skills include: study design, multivariable analysis, regression analysis - including methods appropriate for correlated data, survival analysis, sampling, and knowledge of SAS programming languages. Knowledge of SQL programming is essential.
