Associate Director Of Epidemiology - Cambridge
CK Group is recruiting for an Associate Director of Epidemiology to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Cambridge on a contract basis for 12 months.
Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with a major presence in the UK. Their purpose is to deliver life-changing medicines and to do this they are completely science-led and like to share this with the scientific, healthcare and business communities within the UK.
The role is based at our client's site in Cambridge, a town famous for its history, university and architecture. There is also the added benefit of being accessible to London as well as Stanstead and Luton airports.
This is a high level strategic role that will be involved with developing, coordinating, and executing cutting-edge, effective, and efficient epidemiology strategy for drug and enablement projects at a global level.
The Associate Director, Epidemiology will work independently and guide more junior staff in the design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and internal and external communication of specific epidemiological studies. As Associate Director, Epidemiology, you will deliver highly experienced strategic input, epidemiological support, and leadership to project teams and the Medical Evidence and Observational Research Group during all stages of pharmaceutical development to maximize the market potential
Additionally, as Associate Director, Epidemiology, you will effectively negotiate with and influence senior leadership and a wide range of project teams; provide innovative thinking regarding the design of clinical and epidemiological programmes, including non-interventional studies and interventional studies such as pragmatic trials; set standards for utilization of epidemiology, provide methodological leadership and input to epidemiological strategies; identify and validate external data sources for the oncology real world evidence data strategy.
You will have a Ph.D. or equivalent in epidemiology or related health science field, experience working in similar strategic position within a pharmaceutical company. You will also have the ability to present advanced epidemiological topics at Professional and Scientific meetings and incorporate novel epidemiological techniques into projects.
