Each week CK Clinical tries to give you a picture of the state of the CRA jobs market in the UK. Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.
Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.
This week’s summary for week commencing the 16th of March 2015 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:
- New Scientist
- CV Library
- Willey job network
- Access Science jobs.
Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 780 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 815 the week before with:
- 698 permanent roles
- 82 contract roles
There has been a drop of 35 CRA jobs in the past week split across permanent and contract roles. This drop seems to have become a regular occurrence with these clinical jobs, with them peaking one week and then dropping the next. Whether this is to be expected with all jobs having a limited advertising life span on job boards, or whether there is another influence we have yet to determine.
