Each week CK Clinical tries to give you a picture of the state of the CRA jobs market in the UK. Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.
Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.
This week’s summary for week commencing the 2nd of March 2015 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:
- New Scientist
- CV Library
- Willey job network
- Access Science jobs.
Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 645 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 788 the week before with:
- 564 permanent roles
- 81 contract roles
For the first time this year we have seen a decline in the volume of Clinical Research Associate jobs in the past week, with 143 fewer advertised roles in comparison to last week. However, the numbers available this week are reflective of the volumes available during the same period last year so indicating a possible pattern.
