Each week CK Clinical tries to give you a picture of the state of the CRA jobs market in the UK. Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.
Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.
This week’s summary for week commencing the 4th of May 2015 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:
- New Scientist
- CV Library
- Willey job network
- Access Science jobs.
Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 864 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 1041 the week before with:
- 735 permanent roles
- 129 contract roles
There has been a 17% drop in CRA jobs in the past week although considering last weeks all time high, a drop should be expected. Permanent roles have been impacted the most with an 18% reduction in jobs, with contract roles only experiencing a small decline. The overall good news is that the volume of CRA jobs has grown by 13% year on year, confirming our feeling from last week that 2015 is a great year to seek a new clinical job.
