Each week CK Clinical tries to give you a picture of the state of the CRA jobs market in the UK. Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.
Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.
This week’s summary for week commencing the 20th of July 2015 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:
- New Scientist
- CV Library
- Willey job network
- Access Science jobs.
Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 745 CRA jobs were published in the last week, compared to 881 the week before with:
- 776 permanent roles
- 105 contract roles
CRA roles returned to figures closer to their yearly average this week, having climbed by 18%. Both permanent and contract roles have benefitted from this increase with permanent roles jumping from 655 to 776 advertised roles, and contract moving from 90 to 105. Hopefully last weeks drop was just following the trend we have seen emerging, where every 5-7 weeks the CRA jobs market experiences a 1 week decline. As the year progresses we hope to confirm this trend, and the reasons behind it.
