Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.
Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.
This week’s summary for week commencing the 18th October 2016 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:
- New Scientist
- CV Library
- Willey job network
- Access Science jobs.
Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 731 CRA jobs were published in the last week:
- 314 permanent roles
- 417 contract roles
There has been some unusual activity in CRA recruitment this week. The total number of jobs has increase by 13%, however for the first time ever we have tracked contract roles with higher numbers than permanent. CK have been tracking CRA jobs since the start of 2015 so to see this role reversal for the first time ever has been a surprise. To get to this point we have seen permanent roles decline by 42% and the demand for contractors grow by 408%. This is highly unusual and we are currently unaware of what could have caused it.
