CK Clinical attending the RQA Annual Conference 2015

CK Clinical, along with sister division CK Science, will be exhibiting at the RQA’s Annual Conference which is taking place between 11th and 13th November at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds. Focusing on the theme ‘Smart Quality a fresh perspective, the event will look at how QA professionals can be more effective and efficient.

Through a series of plenary and parallel sessions, clinics, workshops and networking events that are taking place during the three day event, you will cover core discussions topics such as:

  • Efficiency – need to work effectively and efficiently
  • Simplification – are we over thinking/applying regulations?
  • More with less – QA asked to achieve more with fewer tools/less resource/greater scope of responsibility/areas of work
  • Learning from each other – what is being used in one GxP can probably be applied to others easily

With greater demands being made on QA professionals to work smarter, achieve more and to re-think the approach to QA and auditing, this event will provide you with opportunities to discuss these challenges with peers and look at solutions that may be of benefit.

CK Clinical and CK Science will also be on hand to help you with any job or recruitment advice you may need. If you would like to arrange for a confidential chat with one of our qualified recruiters:

CRA Vacancies Market – 31st August 2015

Each week CK Clinical tries to give you a picture of the state of the CRA jobs market in the UK. Whether you are a CRA looking for a new role or an employer seeking new CRAs to join your team, keeping up to date with industry news that impacts you is essential as the pharmaceutical jobs market in the UK moves incredibly fast.

Our tracking is based on each week screening some of the UKs leading vacancy boards for how many CRA jobs have been advertised within the last 7 days. As always, there is likely to be some repetition across jobs boards and some duplicate posting but our goal is to build up a picture of trends over time.

This week’s summary for week commencing the 31st of August 2015 relates to CRA vacancies posted on:

  • New Scientist
  • Monster
  • CV Library
  • Emedcareers
  • Pharmiweb
  • Willey job network
  • Access Science jobs.

Our results showed that on these job boards a total of 851 CRA jobs were published in the last week:

  • 703 permanent roles
  • 148 contract roles

Following a turbulent period during the summer months which saw CRA jobs drop to their lowest point in 6 months during mid-August, their has been signs of a return to normality this week. Permanent job numbers are above the 700 mark for the first time in a few weeks although contract job numbers are still higher than average for the 2015. However this does make it now a great time for CRA’s looking for a new job as both contract and permanent jobs are thriving.

CK Clinical have seen an influx of CRA jobs so if you are looking for a CRA position click here to view our current roles

Are you in Clinical QA?

CK Clinical has launched a new clinical QA market research project to understand the employment and recruitment needs of professionals in the industry.

Following intensive market research that was carried out in 2014 with scientific QA professionals, which was performed by our sister company CK Science, we recognised a need to get a full understanding of the QA industry so have expanded the research into the clinical arena.

Using the same survey template we plan to request help from Clinical QA professionals across the UK to allow us to map the market place in a comprehensive way and identify the different career requirements of QA professionals across the sectors.

We plan to collate the results early autumn and release our analysis by the end of 2015.

All completed entries are entered into a prize draw for a bottle of champagne!
