CK Group is recruiting for a Hydrogen Adsorbent System Testing Engineer to join an exciting innovative company, focused on tackling climate change by enabling safe and efficient hydrogen storage. This role will be based at their site based in Irvine, CA. This position is offered on a permanent basis. 

Hydrogen Adsorbent System Testing Engineer Role:

  • Evaluate various hydrogen storage system designs based on adsorbent materials and assisting in designing and building.
  • Design experimental test fixtures and provide input to the system design team on engineering, selection of components, costing and layouts
  • Process, analyze and generate reports based on the experimental data.
Key duties will include:

  • Designing design experiments, select and configure tools and components, run experiments and operate advanced tools, process and analyze measurements and validate model predictions
  • Supporting system modeling and simulation teams with experimental verifications of predictive capabilities.
  • Perform safety, risk studies and other key analysis such as HAZOP, HAZID
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering required, Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous relevant experience working within a relevant area
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of sorption measurement devices, industry-best practices and high-pressure hydrogen safety.
