CK Group are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a chemical company at their site based in Wigan on a full time, permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of polymers and resins.

Salary: £20.00 per hour (PAYE). The hours for this role are Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm with occasional overtime.

Location:

This role is located at our client's site in Wigan but may include occasional travel to our client's other sites in the area.

Maintenance Technician Role:

Your main duties will be:

  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and utilities equipment.
  • The electrical installation and testing of plant equipment.
  • Fault finding and repair of faulty equipment.
  • Ensure the safe and continuous production of the plant.
  • Responding to any equipment failures and implement an effective preventive maintenance programme.

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A completed city & guilds qualification in electrical maintenance.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, ideally chemical manufacturing or a similar process industry.
  • Strong experience in maintenance, fault finding and repair.
  • Prior experience on ATEX/ COMAH regulated sites would be highly desirable.
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance as well as fault finding
  • Experience of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase)
  • IOSH qualified
  • Experience of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382)
  • CompEx Certification (EX01-04)
